Wesley Lopes da Silva is best known as a Association Football Player. He was born on October 11, 1980 in Vila Velha. He spent the most successful part of his career with FC Vaslui in Romania between 2009 and 2013, netting 61 league goals and becoming the first division’s all-time top foreign goalscorer. He added another three goals to his record with a later spell at Politehnica Iași.

On 4 August 2011, Wesley has been appointed captain, following Gabriel Cânu’s long-term injury. On 15 August, Wesley scored Vaslui’s first goal against Concordia Chiajna in a 3–0 victory, which ended a four-game goalless streak for his team. However, he was substituted in the forty-second minute, due to an injury that forced him to miss the first leg of UEFA Europa League play-off match against Sparta Prague. He made his come-back in the second leg, leading his team to a historical qualification in the group stages of UEFA Europa League.
